✨Sometimes the smallest moments feel like the biggest reminders.

🍪Four days ago I found this pamphlet sitting in the sauna at OneLife Fitness. I picked it up, read it, and thought about taking it… but decided to leave it there. I remember thinking, maybe someone else needs this reminder more than I do.

….For four days, women went in and out of that sauna. The pamphlet moved around, was picked up, set down, passed along.

♥️Yesterday, everyone walked out of the sauna and the last woman came back in, looked directly at me, handed me the pamphlet and said, “God bless you.”

I was the last one in there.

Four days later, the same pamphlet somehow ended up back in my hands.

I kept it.

🚨Now I’m not here to judge anyone’s beliefs or the path they take in life — everyone’s journey is their own. But this moment felt too meaningful not to share.

🥹As I continue building Strong Roots Co., literally starting from scratch — creating recipes, testing them over and over, learning through mistakes, trials, and new ideas — I know God will walk beside me through it all.

Because sometimes when you’re building something from nothing, you just need a reminder that you’re not doing it alone…

🌸Becoming a mom changed how I view my body — and my purpose — in the best way🤍

That alone time I once protected so closely now fuels something bigger: creating a healthy, strong, and nourishing environment for my daughter.

💥I’ll be the first to say — I’m not the most fit or the most educated person in the room. I do have over a decade of learning through trial and error, ups and downs, listening to my body, and showing up even when it wasn’t easy. That understanding matters to me.

🤰🏼During pregnancy, I was told many times that I shouldn’t lift or exercise the way I did. I listened to my body and continued doing what I was comfortable and trained to do. I moved. I lifted. I trusted myself.

My recovery was smoother, and Harley is a healthy, happy little girl — something I’m endlessly grateful for.

This journey isn’t about proving anyone wrong.
It’s about honoring the body God gave us and showing up strong — for ourselves and for our families 💪🏼🤍

My journey with health and fitness started long before Strong Roots Co. 🤍

At 15, I didn’t even know what carbs, protein, amino acids, or healthy fats were — I just knew I wanted to understand my body better. That curiosity led me to countless hours of research and workouts in my parents’ basement… using laundry detergent jugs, canned food, and whatever else I could find.

My parents came here from Europe and showed me what real dedication and hard work looked like. Through teenage years, breakups, college, jobs, and life changes, fitness became my way back to self-reflection and ownership of my health — with plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Now, that same love for movement and nourishment has evolved. I love sweet treats (anyone who worked with me at Spirits knows this 😂), and creating wholesome, “no-guilt” baked goods for our home completely changed everything.

That’s where Strong Roots Co. began — rooted in balance, strength, and intention. 🌱

✨Today I’m closing a chapter and opening a new one.

🍃Kenana’s Konfectionary was such a beautiful season — full of baking, learning, experimenting, and discovering skills I didn’t even know I had. I’ll always be proud of that chapter.

✨But as life evolves, so do priorities.
I want less sugar in our household, without losing the fun, creativity, and joy of baking — the kind of treats Harley and I can make together, memories included.

💪🏼My fitness journey has never been linear, and I wear that proudly. Pregnancy was a huge milestone for me, and now I’m learning how this new body heals, develops, and strengthens again. I’ll share more of that personal journey in my next post — the ups, the downs, and everything in between.

If you’re new here ~ some of you may recognize me from my five years working downtown at Spirits Tavern—and while I’m grateful for that chapter, this little girl is the reason I started a new one 🌸💗

I just couldn’t stand going back to work, to be frank, postpartum hit me like a truck. It’s amazing to wake up early, walk in the kitchen with my baby on my hip ready to “clock in” for the day. If you know a mama out there, say thank you. Strong Roots Co. LLC is a mama-run business dedicated to creating delicious, high-protein sweet treats made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Each recipe is crafted using wholesome components such as organic raw whey protein, collagen, cacao, local honey and natural sweeteners such as monk fruit with allulose - offering sweetness without refined sugar.

Unlike many sugar alternatives that rely heavily on erythritol, which can cause digestive comfort, my recipes focus on balance, flavor and ingredient integrity.

From gluten free options to protein rich baked goods, Strong Roots Co. is built on the belief that indulgence can be both enjoyable and intentional. My goal is to inspire balanced lifestyles through nourishing ingredients, mindful choices, and a foundation rooted in faith, strength and community.

Get to Know The Mama

Strong Roots Co. began as my story—a story of resilience, healing, and choosing to rise again.

For over a decade, I found myself in on-and-off relationships that were unsafe and unstable. Each time life tried to break me down, I came back stronger, wiser, and more rooted in who I am. Through it all, movement became my release. The gym was my therapy, my clarity, my reminder that my body is strong and capable—especially during seasons when life felt anything but.

Today, Strong Roots Co. is built with no professional photos, no polished perfection—just me, my two hands, and my baby girl, Harley, by my side. You’ll often find me in the kitchen, singing to her while baking. What started as a hobby through postpartum quickly became something more intentional. I realized I wasn’t comfortable with the amount of sugar commonly found in baked goods, especially in a home where I’m setting the example for my daughter.

Let me be clear—I love sweet treats. Always have, always will. This isn’t about restriction or deprivation. It’s about balance, thoughtfulness, and nourishment.
